purple undated with OFS removed on QV 1d taxed cover to Dorset, reverse b/stamped PIETERMARITZBURG 4.15 AM/26 NO 1900. Soiled with opening tear along top which extends through lower left portion of adhesive.
Putzel states that in 1901 this office was re-opened under control of Natal PMG but was handed back to PMG Orange River Colony on 1st July 1902.
