1853 loose mail carried by RMSP to Southampton
small mourning envelope (damaged on opening) plus enclosure headed Spanish Town Nov 26th 1853 to Greenock, rated 1/-, indentified on arrival by PACKET LETTER/SOUTHAMPTON (Rob. P1).
Loose mail was placed in the Captains bag for handing in to the post office at the first port of landing. At this letter was not placed with the Jamaica post office it was not put in the sealed bag to London.

stampless mourning entire from Henry A Clarke at Kings House. Some adhesion to cover which could be lifted. Rare first page display item for the UFCo collector.
Capt. Baker along with Andrew Preston and Minor Keith founded the United Fruit Company on March 30th 1899.
