1858 entire headed "(Duplicate) Demerara May 10th 1858" (being the date GB stamps placed on sale having arrived the day before on the MY 9 1858 steamer) with lightly creased and badly defective GB 6d pmk'd crisply struck "A03" to London with DEMERARA MY 25 1858 despatch dbl-arc. A significant item documenting the Second Sailing with duplicate of First Sailing letter.

PORT ROYAL, Jamaica postal history
1864 countersigned cover from Stephen Smith, Warrant Officer Serving on Board H.M.S. "Shannon", Port Royal mailed to James Smith, Bath with 1857 GB QV 1d red tied London diamond "30" obliterator, b/stamped both London and Bath OC 14 64, some peripheral faults. BPA Cert (1960), Ex URWICK (1957).
In August 1864 H.M.S. Shannon arrived Southampton with gold and silver in 2207 packages which was transferred to the Bank of England in 41 waggons

dated 19 AGO 1907 tying 2 each GB KE7 d and 1/- on large, folded in places, foolscap cover with printed flap of "The Atlantic Transport Company Limited, Swansea" (size 288 x 122mm) addressed Rio de Janeiro, soiling/toning around adhesives.

Combination cover with Peru 1868-72 1d green, GB QV 6d pale buff (assumed Plate 11), GB QV 1/- green Plate 6 (SG.Z43, Z53) tied "C38" cancels addressed John Small, Port Maria, Jamaica with 3-line PANAMA/3 AP 1873/TRANSIT plus pencilled "2" on face, b/stamped A/CALLAO/MR 26 73, Kingston IIIA/AP 8 73 and Port Maria C/AP 9 73 cds. Cover soiled with peripheral base tear and GB QV 6d with pale colour. A UNIQUE FRANKING TO JAMAICA.

cover from "Pt. W. H(alfhide) W 7796" marked "On Active Service" mailed with GB QV 1d lilac MR 25 00 to Hampshire, reverse WARE AP 15 00 arrival. Flap slightly reduced along top, and opened a little roughly on second side at right.
