Newly discovered home-made wrapper with printed and perforated QV 1d in greyish-black (Keyplate style, no shading behind both lighthouse and sailing ship) tied "A02" to a Mr Frederick Young, last heard of in Canterbury Settlement, care of Messrs. John White Villet & Sons, Parliament Street, Liverpool, England, peripheral faults.

one of those wonderfully distressed fragile cover fronts with adhesive missing which would have been a fine exhibition item with creased GB QV 4d despatched B/MALTA/JA 20 73 to Henry Bevan, 95th Regiment, Aldershot, Farnham, England with FARNBORO STATION D/JA 29 73 forwarded Athlone, Ireland showing C/WICKLOW/FE 3 73 and DUBLIN FE 4 73 with manuscript "Not Known" added prior return to FARNBORO STATION D/FE 5 73 collecting handstruck "1d" due.

1871 cover and newsy 8-page letter headed "St. Mary's Parsonage, Nassau October 14th 1871" to The Reverend Herbert Todd, Derry Downs, St. Mary Cray with QV 1/- green P.12½ (SG.38) tied "A05" with red PAID LIVERPOOL U.S. PACKET 1 NO 71/3A alongside, reverse BAHAMAS OC 16 1871 dbl-arc, Chislehurst and St. Mary's Cray NO 1 71 arrivals. Adhesive with pulled base perf.
Contents include "In August we had the edge of a hurricane, the full force of which was experienced in Andros, Biminis and Grand Bahama. Whole settlements are utterly ruined and many ships are lost. We had terrible weather here at the time, but people battened up early and so not much damage was done. Altogether we have had a terribly hot and tempestuous summer, with thunder storms sent as have never been known for 15 years".

ST. VINCENT postal history
circa 1880 'ON HER MAJESTY'S SERVICE.' (seriffed capitals, 41mm underlining bar) postal stationary envelope (137 x 79mm) unused with large attractive raised white on orange-red embossed seal of colony flap, right flap showing embossed 'WILLIAM BROWN & Co., MAKERS, LONDON'. Flap largely detached (strengthened by hinges) with smaller faults but few believed to exist.
Note: this is a differing size underlining bar to the one illustrated by Vincent Duggleby in the December 1991 BWISC Bulletin No.151 which shows the bar starting under the 'R' of 'HER' and ending under 'SE' of 'SERVICE.'

1875 covers, both with enclosed letter, to Miss Helen Ayliffe, Grahamstown marked "per R.M.S. via Plymouth NOV 25 1875" and "DE 5 1875" each with GB QV 1/- Plate 12 tied Manchester "498" duplex dated NO 25 1875 and DE 5 75 and both showing CAPE TOWN N/JA 1 76 transit, reverse of each with Grahams Town JA 5 76 arrival.
The former was posted too late for the sailing specified and has small red handstruck circled cross on the address panel.
